The Diocese of Tulsa recently surveyed hundreds of Catholics in eastern Oklahoma. They asked, “What is the most important goal the Church should pursue?” The most common answer was, “Help us pass the Faith to today’s children.”

The Cathedral parish and school are ready to help. Holy Family has invited priests, deacons, married and single laity to lead discussions on a chapter of Raising Pure Teens, a book by popular Catholic speakers Jason Evert and Chris Stefanick. The Cathedral and School are looking forward to an appearance by Leah Darrow, a model who became a speaker on modesty. An excellent role model for girls, Darrow will speak to both parents and children.

These discussions are designed for parents of teens and pre-teens. The goal is to create a comfortable space for parents to discuss various aspects of parenting – especially ways to protect children’s modesty, chastity, and purity.

There is no charge to attend, but donations to cover our expenses are welcome. All of these sessions are open to all parishes in the Diocese. Complimentary babysitting provided for Children 3 Years and older.

The organizers for these events are Monika Davis, Trish Spoerl, and Mike Malcom. Email TulsaCathedral@gmail.com if you have any questions.
