24 Hours for the Lord: Confessions on March 4 & 5

Pope Francis declared that 2016 would be a Jubilee Year of Mercy for the whole world.

“So many people, including young people, are returning to the sacrament of reconciliation; through this experience they are rediscovering a path back to the Lord, living a moment of intense prayer and finding meaning in their lives.”

Holy Family Cathedral is fortunate to be the center of a number of Year of Mercy events:

24 Hours for the Lord is Pope Francis’ wish for every cathedral in the world to host a twenty-four hour period of Confessions. In Tulsa, Holy Family will be open from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. The usual Saturday evening Mass will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Thanks Mike, and I appreciate the priest and the Church scheduling this opportunity to make confessions.

I am an early morning riser and I would like to go to confession Saturday morning between 6 a.m. -7 a.m. I would like some assurance that a priest will be there to hear confessions. Thanks.

Someone will be in the Confessional then. The Diocese is taking very seriously the Pope’s wish for a solid twenty-four hour period of Confessions. They are lining up a number of priests to take “shifts” throughout the evening, the night, and the whole day Saturday.
