Conro Family Receives Family of the Year Award from State K of C

The State Convention  of the Knights of Columbus, held  April 29, in Tulsa, awarded The Family of the Year Award to The Conro Family, Jon, Monica, Mark, William, Jonny and Catherine.The Conro family are parishioners of Holy Family Cathedral, as a family they have served the parish for many years. Jon is in his final year of diaconate formation and will be ordained a Deacon on June 17, 2017, here at HolyFamily Cathedral. Monica who homeschools the children is also the Director of Family Evangelization at Holy Family Cathedral. As Director of Family Evangelization she is responsible for the faith education programs of all ages and stages, including sacraments RCIA and the popular Wednesdays at the Cathedral Series.


Service and leadership runs in this family .All four children are part of  F.I.A.T, (Faith In Action Team) Holy Family Cathedral’s youth  leadership team. As part of  F.I.A.T hey help to plan events and assist at Wednesdays at the Cathedral. Mark, the oldest also serves on the Diocesan Youth Senate, helping to plan and carryout  diocesan youth events such as DCYC. Jon and his sons  serve as altar servers at parish and diocesan masses, where Jon often acts as a Master of Ceremonies. The boys have served at over 100 masses for Bishops both at the Cathedral and  other parishes.  The family continues serving and  leading in the community through their involvement in Heritage Girls and Trail Life Troops here in Tulsa.
