Wednesdays at the Cathedral for March 14th

Blue Star MothersBring your whole family for an evening of prayer, fellowship, and service benefiting our men and women stationed overseas.

Volunteers from Blue Star Mothers of America will be onsite to assist us in preparing Freedom Boxes for shipping. Each box will contain personal items such as food, toiletries, letters, and a St. Michael Prayer card.


Purchase the following items needed to fill the Freedom Boxes and bring them to the Cathedral in advance or to the service night.


Food Items (especially protein):

It is very important to purchase food items that are individually packed or single serving sizes.

Tuna, chicken, or salmon pouches

Soup – READY TO EAT (pop top)

EZ-Mac & Cheese (NOT BOWLS)

Ramen noodle packets (NOT BOWLS)


Candy (individually wrapped)                                   Instant oatmeal packets

Beef jerky/Slim Jims                                                Breakfast/granola bars

Sunflower seeds or trail mix                                    Pop tarts

Crackers  (individual packets)                                 Dried fruit


Individual drink packets:  Coffee, Tea bags, Spiced apple cider, powdered drink mixes Cream/sugar packets


Toiletries: very small or travel size only for all items

Baby wipes (resealable bag), unscented Mouthwash, Chapstick

Foot powder,  Toothpaste, Eye drops (small)

Hand sanitizer, Toothbrushes, Sunscreen (lotion or gel), Disposable razors, Dental floss


Tylenol/Advil, Cough drops,  Bandaids


Other items:

AAA or AA batteries Pens or mechanical pencils

Ziploc bags (any size) Socks (100% cotton or wool)
