Wednesdays at the Cathedral- Sister Mary Benedictia

Wednesdays at the Cathedral Logo (2)You and your family, most especially your daughters, are invited to a very special Wednesday Night at the Cathedral this Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Speaking will be Sister Mary Benedicta Maier, a religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan (RSM). Sister Mary Benedicta will speak about how her religious upbringing as a Lutheran, student days at University of California, Berkeley, as well as lobbying on Capitol Hill, and serving in the U.S. Government all inspired her to become a Catholic and then serve the Lord in religious life as a Religious Sister!

The Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma apostolate is primarily living the witness of consecrated lives flowing from the charism of Venerable Catherine McAuley, offering a witness in the service of the “poor, sick, and ignorant”, predominantly in the areas of health care and education. An essential characteristic of the charism of the sisters is also how they integrate the demands inherent to their call to higher education and professional excellence with the fullness of their vowed life lived in community.

Join us for this inspiring evening and learn more about this beautiful and unique religious order and meet Sr. Mary Benedicta as she shares her own Faith journey! Hope to see you there!!!
