Leslie Southerland, HFCS Principal is Awarded the Bernie Fonza Civic Award

  Leslie Southerland the Principal of Holy Family Cathedral School was awarded the Bernie Fonza Civic Award at the State Convention of the Knights of Columbus.  Leslie  graduated from TU with a Juris Doctorate and practiced law for some time. In 2008, desiring a more fulfilling career, she  obtained  her teaching certificate and was hired at Holy Family Cathedral School as the third grade teacher. During her  time at Holy Family she has  taught fifth grade, fourth through eighth grade English, Social Studies and Reading. When the previous Principal of Holy Family Cathedral School left, Leslie applied to be principal. Knights of Columbus Turkey Drive

  Each year the Knights of Columbus hold a turkey and ham drive to help make Thanksgiving a little better for families in need. This year they would like to deliver 200 Turkeys and Hams to Catholic Charities. Thanksgiving is a holiday that brings families together. You can help by bringing a turkey or ham and putting it in the freezer in the basement. Don’t have time to go to the store and pick up a turkey or ham? You can let the Knights do the shopping for you. If you want to donate by check or cash, then please make your $15 check payable to Knights of Columbus Council 10388 Turkey Drive, or place $15 in an envelope marked the same and drop it in the collection basket.
