There is a special blessing for water on the feast of the Epiphany because of its connection to the celebration of Jesus’ baptism. Epiphany Water is special.  The ancient rite of the blessing of the waters, with its  powerful prayers of exorcism, renders Epiphany Water more spiritually potent than ‘ordinary’ holy water. This year the Cathedral added a new tradition. We celebrated a traditional Posada. In a traditional Posada the Pilgrims travel from house to house and at the last house they are let in with feasting and games for the children. Despite the cold evening the crowd was enthusiastic.
