Holy Family will host a party for Deacon Jerry Mattox on November 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Halpine Room. It will honor Deacon Jerry as he eases into retirement. THE FEAST OF THE HOLY FAMILY Today we have three readings that do a lot to speak about family life.  And today we celebrate the feast of the Holy Family, which is especially important in our parish. These readings are rich; normally I would try to discuss some aspect in detail.  But I have been  reading some troubling things about how most Americans do not believe in the basics of Christianity. They do not believe in the virgin birth, the divinity of Jesus, and most especially in the resurrection from the dead. We do believe them.  Why?
