Baptism

baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism becomes the basis of our Christian life, the gateway to life in the Holy Spirit, and the door which allows us to experience the other sacraments of the church. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God. By being baptized, we become members of the Catholic Church and our parish family.

Step 1. Complete the Baptismal Registration Request Form

Please complete and return to Milinda Sinohui childrensministry@tulsacathedral.com

Step 2 Attend a Baptismal Preparation Class.

Classes are held the first Saturday of every month in the Halpine Room at 10am. *You must pre-register to attend this course. If you attended a Baptismal Preparation Course at another parish within a three-year timespan, please stop by the parish office so that a copy can be made of your certificate.

Step 3 Complete Godparent Eligibility Form

Godparents must be practicing Catholics, at least 16 years of age, and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. If married, Godparents must be married in the church. All Godparent Forms require pastoral signatures and parish seal, including if your selected Godparents are from a different parish.

Additional Information:

Baptisms are celebrated the third weekend of each month during the weekend Masses.  A Baptismal candle and garment will be supplied by the parish.
